The Kentucky Psychological Foundations
Kniffley Early Career Psychologist Award
Applications for 2024 are now closed and will reopen in late summer of 2025!
The Kniffley Early Career Psychologist Award is dedicated to supporting early career psychology professionals who are on the path to becoming licensed in Kentucky. Our mission is to foster a diverse and inclusive community of psychologists in Kentucky, and this award is a vital step toward achieving that goal.
We are particularly committed to advancing diversity within the field by prioritizing applicants who represent identities historically underrepresented in psychology. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), as well as those from other marginalized communities. We believe that a diverse range of perspectives enriches the field and enhances the care provided to all clients.
The Kniffley Award provides essential financial support to ease the journey toward licensure.
The funds can be used for:
-
Transitioning to full licensure, including associated fees
-
Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) fee
-
Travel costs for licensure-related activities
-
Any other expenses related to becoming a licensed psychologist in Kentucky
We understand the challenges faced by early career professionals and are here to offer compassionate support as you take these important steps in your career. By helping to remove financial barriers, we hope to empower you to contribute your unique voice and perspective to the psychology profession.
